Twenty three years ago Lucinda Porter couldn't have guessed she'd be leading the charge against a disease that has come back decades later to haunt many of her peers.
At the age of 35, Porter had a blood transfusion that resulted in her contracting viral hepatitis C, a contagious liver disease that can range from a mild to long-term illness that attacks the liver.
